Questions from homeowners.
I have an idea, but no drawings. Can I start here?
Yes. Tell us what you want to change and share any photos, sketches or existing documents you have. We’ll review the information and identify what else is needed before confirming a drafting scope.
What if I don’t know which drawings I need?
Choose “Help me scope the drawings” when requesting a quote. Describe your project and its location, and include any requirements your contractor or city has provided. We’ll help define the drawing scope and flag items that need confirmation.
Do I need a property survey?
Some projects need a current survey as the basis for a site plan. Send one if you have it; otherwise, tell us. Kantu does not perform land surveying or establish property boundaries, and any required survey must be supplied by you or a qualified surveyor.
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes. We can coordinate the agreed drawings with your contractor using supplied field measurements, photos and consolidated feedback. We’ll agree on who provides information and who approves revisions before drafting begins.
Do your plans include engineering or guarantee a permit?
No. Kantu provides drafting and documentation. Engineering design, calculations and licensed seals are separate from base drafting. Licensed seals can be coordinated through partner professionals when required by jurisdiction. Permit approval remains with the reviewing authority; submission responsibilities are defined in your scope.
How much will my drawings cost, and how long will they take?
Pricing and timing depend on the project size, drawing scope, available information and required coordination. We confirm the fee, schedule, deliverables and revision allowance in a written quote before work starts. Our pricing page provides starting ranges.
